Frequently Asked Questions: My Body | Main Dashboard

In this section, we address the most common questions regarding the interpretation of your daily metrics and the customization of your main command center.

1. Main Panel (Your Dashboard)

Why does the greeting at the top change throughout the day?

CaloriTrack is designed to accompany you in your daily routine. The greeting updates automatically by reading your device's local time, giving you a "Good morning," "Good afternoon," or "Good evening" as appropriate, along with your name.

Can I change the order in which the health cards appear?

Absolutely! We know every body is different and your priorities can change. At the bottom of your Health screen, you will find a button called "Edit Panel". Tapping it will open a list where you can drag and drop the cards to organize them exactly in the order you prefer (for example, placing Fasting or Hydration at the very top).

A green box appeared saying "Update available," what should I do?

That’s great news! It means our team has released new improvements and features. Just tap the "Update" button, and we will take you directly to the App Store so you can download the latest version securely.

2. Circadian Rhythm (Your biological clock)

What does the top bar with the sun and moon mean?

This is your circadian timeline. The app uses your location to calculate exactly what time the sun rises and sets in your city. The golden sun or the moon visually shows you which phase of the day you are in (morning, afternoon, evening, or late night) and how long until the next cycle.

I see "checkmark" and "cross" icons below the timeline. What are they for?

These are dynamic recommendations based on circadian rhythm science. CaloriTrack tells you what is optimal to do at this precise moment (the "checkmarks", such as hydrating, getting sunlight, or intense exercise) and what you should avoid (the "crosses", such as drinking coffee late, using screens at night, or having a heavy dinner). These recommendations change automatically throughout the day.

The text color on this card is sometimes dark and sometimes white. Is this normal?

Yes! It is a design feature to protect your eyesight. During the day, the card simulates the colors of sunrise or the blue sky using dark text. At night, it simulates a sunset or darkness, and the text changes to white so you can always read it without straining your eyes.

3. Tip of the Day

How can I see a different tip if I already read today's?

In the upper right corner of the Tip of the Day card, you will see a small circular arrows icon. If you tap it, the app will connect to our database and instantly load a new random tip to keep you motivated.

I found the tip very interesting, how can I learn more about it?

Simply tap anywhere on the tip card. This will open a detailed window where we provide a deeper reflection on that quote, a practical example of how to apply it to your daily life, and a direct button to our science and nutrition blog so you can become an expert.

4. Fasting Tracking

My fasting card only shows a gray circle with a "+" sign. Is it glitching?

It is not glitching; this simply means you currently do not have a fast in progress. To begin, tap the card and press "Start your fast".

How do I interpret the colored donut when I am fasting?

When you start a fast, you will see a countdown timer in the center of the card and a bar that fills up gradually. The color changes based on how much time has elapsed: it turns orange at the beginning, then moves through mint green and sky blue tones, until it reaches purple during deep fasts. Below, you will see two key data points: on the left, the time you have already fasted, and on the right, your hour goal.

5. Ketosis (KetoFlame)

Why did my card's flame change from yellow to red?

Congratulations, your body is in deep fat-burning mode! The color of your KetoFlame reflects the length of your streak of consecutive days in ketosis. It starts as a neutral or yellow color (1 to 6 days), changes to intense orange (7 to 20 days), and turns completely red when you achieve a solid streak of 21 days or more.

What happens if I tap the "i" (information) icon on the KetoFlame card?

It will open a quick guide explaining what it means to enter ketosis and how your body is "keto-adapting." You will also find a link to a full article on our blog about the topic.

6. Active Calories (Daily Energy)

Why does my calorie circle sometimes turn orange?

The progress circle is drawn in our classic Mint Green as long as you stay within your calorie goal. However, if you exceed your daily target (more than 100%), the ring will change to orange to visually alert you that you have exceeded your budget.

What do the two numbers at the bottom of the calorie card mean?

The blue fork and knife icon represents the calories you have consumed today through food. The orange flame icon indicates the calories you have burned today through physical activity or workouts.

7. Electrolyte Balance (Hydration)

I drank a lot of water today, but my hydration bar is still showing red. What am I doing wrong?

At CaloriTrack, we don't just care about how much water you drink, but your hydro-electrolytic balance. Your body needs salt (sodium) to retain water correctly. The ideal ratio we look for is approximately 6 grams of salt for every liter of water. If you drink a lot of water but consume very little salt, the bar will turn red or orange to warn you of the imbalance. It will turn green when you find the perfect equilibrium.

The card looks gray and asks me to "Add Water," but I have eaten salt. Why?

If you haven't logged at least some water (ml) during the day, it is mathematically impossible to calculate your hydration ratio. Therefore, the card turns a neutral gray and invites you to log your liquids first by tapping the blue "+" button.

8. Physical Activity Level

My activity card says "Moderate" or "Strong." How does the app calculate this classification?

The app evaluates the total active calories you have burned in the day (via Apple Health) and compares them against your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (your metabolic goal). Based on that percentage, we automatically assign you a real-time level: Resting, Light, Moderate, Strong, or Very Strong.

Why is the activity donut always red and orange?

To visually represent the "fire" and heat your body generates when burning energy, we use an exclusive gradient of warm tones (reds and oranges) for this card.

9. Body Mass Index (BMI)

How do I read the color rainbow on my BMI card?

It is a visual gauge of your general physical health. The needle points to your current position based on your weight and height. The left yellow zone indicates underweight (less than 18.5), the green band is normal and healthy weight (18.5 to 25), the right yellow band indicates overweight (25 to 30), and the red zone is obesity (over 30).

My card says "No data," is it broken?

To calculate your BMI, we need to know exactly how tall you are and how much you weigh. If you see this message, simply go to your profile and make sure you have filled in your body information.

10. Sickness Tracking

Why does my health card appear all red with a first aid kit icon?

This happens because you have recently logged a sickness episode and are in "Recovery Mode." The giant red number tells you exactly how many days have passed since you got sick.

I'm cured now, how do I turn off recovery mode so my card becomes a green shield again?

We're glad you're feeling better! You just need to tap the red card to enter the history. There you will see a very clear green button that says "I have recovered". Tapping it will close the record for that sickness, and the screen will proudly show your streak of completely healthy days again.

11. Sleep Quality

Yesterday I slept a full 8 hours, but my sleep score is 75 points and not 100. Why is it so strict?

The amount of hours you spend in bed is only part of the equation (it represents 50% of your points). Our advanced medical algorithm also evaluates the quality of that sleep via your smartwatch. We award up to an additional 20% for reaching your Deep Sleep goal (vital for physical recovery) and another 20% for your REM Sleep (vital for your brain). Additionally, we subtract efficiency points if we detect that you woke up many times or spent a lot of time tossing and turning in bed.

How does CaloriTrack get information about my REM phase or Deep Sleep?

We connect securely and privately with Apple Health (HealthKit). When you use your Apple Watch to sleep, it records your sleep phases based on your heart rate and movement, and CaloriTrack extracts and interprets this data for you every morning. Just make sure you have the permissions active in the "Third-party synchronization" section in your Profile.
