Meet Kai: Your Smart Coach in CaloriTrack

Kai is your personal, smart nutrition and wellness assistant, integrated directly into CaloriTrack. Designed to offer you support, answer your questions, and motivate you on your journey to a healthier life, Kai is like having an expert in your pocket available 24 hours a day.

Through a fluid and friendly chat interface, you can talk to Kai in your own language to receive personalized advice, meal ideas, or simply a motivational boost when you need it most.

Complete Usage Guide: Screen by Screen​

To ensure you get 100% out of what Kai has to offer, we have divided this guide to detail every corner of its interface.

🚪 Access and Home Screen​

When you tap the Kai icon (the magical sparkles) in the bottom navigation bar, you will enter its dedicated section.

:::info Exclusive Premium Access The first thing you should know is that Kai is an exclusive feature for our Premium users. If you do not yet have an active subscription, the screen will show our elegant Paywall inviting you to upgrade your plan to unlock access. :::

  • The Header: At the top of the screen, you will see the official CaloriTrack logo centered, welcoming you.

🌟 The Initial State (Before chatting)​

If it is your first time talking to Kai or if you have just started a new conversation, you will see a clean and friendly welcome screen designed to break the ice:

  • Welcome: In the center of the screen, you will be greeted by a blue sparkles icon, followed by a welcome title and a brief explanatory subtitle.
  • Quick Suggestions (Shortcuts): To make things easier for you, Kai presents three buttons with suggested questions or topics. If you tap any of these suggestions, the text will be sent automatically as your first message, starting the conversation without you having to type a single word.
  • Privacy Notice: At the bottom, you will find a padlock icon along with a privacy notice, guaranteeing that your data is 100% safe and secure.

⌨️ Typing and Interacting​

The bottom part of the screen is dedicated to your direct interaction with Kai:

  • The Message Bar: Here you will see a text box with a prompt inviting you to type (e.g., "Type a message..."). When you tap it, your keyboard will intelligently deploy, gently pushing the chat upwards so you never lose sight of what you are typing.
  • The Send Button: To the right of the text box, there is a circular Mint Green button with a paper airplane icon. This button will remain disabled (gray) if the text box is empty. Once you type something, it will become active.
  • Hide the Keyboard: If you decide not to send a message or want a better view of the chat history, simply tap any empty part of the chat background, and the keyboard will smoothly hide automatically.

💬 Conversation Dynamics​

Once you send your first message, the initial screen will disappear to make way for your chat history:

  • Your Messages: Everything you type will appear aligned to the right side of the screen, inside light blue chat bubbles, allowing you to easily identify your questions.
  • Kai's Responses: These will appear aligned to the left, inside gray bubbles, and always accompanied by its distinctive circular sparkle icon.
  • Smart Language: Don't worry about the language! Kai automatically detects the language your device is set to and will respond to you in that same language.
  • "Typing..." Indicator: Since Kai processes a lot of information to give you the best answer, it sometimes takes a few seconds to think. During this brief moment, you will see an animated indicator with three bouncing dots (...), letting you know that Kai is working for you.
  • Auto-Scroll: As the conversation gets longer, the screen will automatically scroll down every time you send a message or when Kai finishes typing its response.

🔄 Resetting and Managing your Chat​

Kai remembers the context of your current conversation (up to your last 15 messages) to give you coherent answers. If you want to radically change the topic or start from scratch:

  1. New Conversation Button: In the upper right corner of the screen (on the top bar), you will see an icon of a square with a pencil.
  2. Clear Confirmation: When you tap this button, a security alert will appear asking if you are sure you want to start a new conversation. The alert will warn you that this action will clear the current chat history and cannot be undone.

If you confirm, the chat will be completely cleared, and you will see the Initial Welcome Screen with the quick suggestions again.

⚠️ Special Considerations (Limits and Errors)​

To maintain optimal service, there are a couple of situations that the Kai view handles gracefully:

  • Usage Limit: If at any time you reach the limit of queries allowed by your plan, Kai will respond with a polite message indicating that you do not have enough credits at the moment and will suggest checking your account options.
  • Connection Issues: If there is a failure in our servers or problems with your internet connection, Kai will notify you that it is "not available at the moment" and will ask you to try again later, displaying this notice as a normal message within the conversation so as not to disrupt your experience.
