📱 Access and Using the Selector

How do I access the section to log my mood?

On the main screen of the application, go to the top (the header). You will see today's date in a subtle button. Tapping that date will immediately open the Today's Log screen where you can start your record.

When I enter, I see a slider with a smiley face and colors. How exactly does it work?

This is our main mood selector. You must slide the white circle over the horizontal bar to choose how you feel at this moment. There are 7 levels of energy and mood, each with a color and a representative icon:

  • Very Bad: Purple color, represented by an empty battery.
  • Bad: Gray color, represented by a low battery.
  • Slightly Bad: Light Gray color, represented by a cloud.
  • Neutral: Sky Blue color, represented by a line.
  • Slightly Good: Soft Mint Green color, represented by an inverted smile.
  • Good: Bright Mint Green color, represented by a smile.
  • Very Good: Soft Orange color, represented by a radiant sun.

Once you place the slider on the state that best represents you, tap the bottom button to continue to the next step.

🧠 Influencing Factors and Additional Notes

What is the Influencing Factors screen for?

Mood is rarely random. This screen allows you to detail what specific things in your day are affecting your mood. The factors are divided into 4 main categories, which you can expand or collapse by tapping their name:

  • Life: Family, friends, partner, romantic dates, pets.
  • Health: General health, exercise, sleep, food, menstrual cycle, mindfulness.
  • Work: Work, studies, money, weather, news, environment.
  • Activities: Hobbies, travel, music, chores, spirituality.

To select one or more, simply tap the button (pill) with the name of the factor. It will be highlighted to confirm that it is selected.

What do I do if the reason for my mood is not in the Factors options?

Right below the factor categories, you will find a section called Notes. It is a free-text editor where you can write any thought, keep a small journal, or add the specific context of how you feel today. It is completely optional.

📊 Saving, History, and Editing

What happens when I press the Save button? Does it connect with Apple Health?

When you press Save, your log is securely sent to your database in CaloriTrack. Additionally, if you have given us permissions to connect with Apple Health, the application will intelligently save this record on your iPhone. If you use iOS 17 or higher, it will be saved in the new native State of Mind metric with all your factors; if you use an older version, it will be recorded as a Mindfulness session.

I already saved my mood, but I want to see my previous logs from today. Where are they?

After saving your log, the main mood screen will automatically change to show your Today's History. You will see a chronological list of all the logs you have made in the day, showing the exact time, the icon and color of your mood, the factors you selected, and the notes you wrote.

My day improved (or worsened). Can I log my mood multiple times in the same day?

Of course! On your daily history screen, you will see a button with the + symbol in the top right corner of the screen. Tapping it will open the selector again so you can add a new log at that exact moment.

I made a mistake when creating a log, is there a way to delete it?

Yes. In your history list, simply swipe the log you want to delete to the left and you will see a red button appear to delete it. This will permanently remove it from both your screen and your account.

🤖 Smart Support and Scientific Benefits

I logged a negative mood (Very Bad, Bad, or Slightly Bad) and a sparkles button appeared in my history, what does it do?

Your mental well-being is vital. If your log indicates a mood below neutral, the application will proactively offer you a support button below that log. Tapping it will instantly open a chat window with Kai Coach (your Artificial Intelligence coach) to provide you with emotional support, guided reflections, or simply a safe space to talk about that difficult moment.

I see a button with an information icon ( i ) next to the Today's Log title, what is it for?

That button opens an informative card detailing the science and benefits behind consistent mood tracking. It will explain how this practice improves your self-knowledge and will give you a direct access button to our official Blog, where you can read full articles about mindfulness and mental health.
